More than 1,000 Corvettes will take a lap at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on today to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Corvette.
Corvette owners from Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin will meet in the infield in the morning and take one lap around the track at noon before going south to Bowling Green, Ky., and Nashville, Tenn.
The Corvette gathering in the infield is not open to the public, though spectators can watch the track lap from the South Terrace grandstands, located immediately south of the Hall of Fame Museum.
