Dear Editor,
Don't be different. Don't think outside the box. Let the media melt your mind into a goo similar to silly putty so that it may be shaped anyway they like. Yesterday, I do not know if you are aware, but a kid in Michigan was sent home from school for wearing an anti-Bush T-shirt.
The rights we preach from our soap box are constantly violated. I'm sure if he had a flag tattooed on his behind and walked through school with his pants down that would have gotten less of a penalty, because after all, in the eve of fair weather patriotism everyone loves the flag.
Unfortunately our brave soul had to have a different opinion than his daytime babysitters, which got him thrown out of school. This is the land of the free. We have the right to express our opinion ... right? In high school, and obviously in Michigan (the militia state) the only section of the constitution that applies is the right to bear arms. All the rest is liberal hippy garbage.
There, here and everywhere, you only have the right to express the opinion fed to you. And I'll think this to be the case until I see otherwise. We are a nation of deeds and not words, and the deeds have spoken.
