Ball State University officials announced that the men's basketball team will host the Indiana Hoosiers at 6 p.m. Dec. 31 at Worthen Arena. Tickets will be $20 for every seat in the arena.
"We are looking forward to having Indiana come to Worthen Arena, and we believe it will be a very exciting evening for the Muncie community," said Andrea Seger, Ball State director of intercollegiate athletics.
Ball State has agreed to a home-and-home series against the Xavier Musketeers as well. The first game of the series will take place this season in Cincinnati's Cintas Center.
Xavier scheduled this game to expand its recruitment in Indiana.
Xavier and Ball State have faced each other six times with Xavier winning four of the six games.
The last meeting between the teams was in the 1992-93 season, Xavier winning 81-78.
