Sunshine, rain help trumpet spring's return to Ball State

Freshman Kyla Scofield takes advantage of the warm weather and chats with her friend, freshman Allison Laatz, Tuesday afternoon in front of LaFollette Complex. Many students in LaFollette frequently spend their time socializing and studying in the courtyards outside the residence halls.

Ball State University 20-year-old sophomore Lyndsay McDonald, an elementary education major from New Castle, said she enjoyed the weather. "I love it. I think it's fun. At least it's warm." Tuesday temperatures got as warm as 66 degrees but dropped below freezing during the evening.
