A 31-year-old female Ball State student was nearly kidnapped at gunpoint Tuesday morning in the C-1 East parking lot.
According to University Police, the altercation involving a the student, and an unknown male occurred at 10:55 a.m. The C-1 lot is located on the north side of campus near the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. According to police reports, the male subject tried to force the victim into his car at gunpoint.
Police currently have no suspects but are working on the case. The victim told police the subject drives a 90s-model, black, four-door Chevrolet Corsica, and the car may have had Ohio license plates, although she was unsure.
There were no witnesses to the crime, and police have not listed any motives.
