A third sexual assault in the 1100 block of W. Riverside Ave. was reported on Sunday, nearly a month after it occurred.
This brings the total to three sexual assaults in the 1100 block of W. Riverside Ave. within a week of each other and two sexual assaults reported in the same block within 24 hours of each other.
According to online crime logs, the sexual assault was reported on Monday. However, the assault occurred between Sep. 23 and 24. A sexual assault was also reported back on Sep. 23 in the same block of W. Riverside Ave.
The first sexual assault was reported on Sep. 17 in the 1100 block of W. Riverside Ave. In all three cases, the victims did not request an investigation.
To date, specific addresses for the assaults have not been released by University Police. University police do not normally release specific locations of sexual assaults.
The Ball State Daily News reached out to university spokeswoman Kathy Wolf for specific information and was told the address provided is "all the police are going to release at this time."
