According to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's Twitter, he's set to officially announce his running mate tomorrow at 11 a.m. However, his campaign seems to indicate he will pick Governor Mike Pence.
According to the New York Times, sources who were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly said Trump's advisers told Republican officials they are planning to make an announcement with Pence.
Pence, who has previously served 12 years in congress and a four-year term as Indiana's governor, has allegedly dropped his re-election bid, presumedly to become Trump's running mate.
Though there's speculation, Trump's campaign tweeted earlier today that no decision has been made.
In addition to Pence, Trump has considered former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Army Gen. Michael Flynn for the No. 2 spot on his ticket.
Yesterday morning, Pence had breakfast with the Trump family, then later arrived at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. While Pence didn't say much about any knowledge he might have about being named as Trump's pick for vice president, he did say he was honored to be considered for the position.
"I think you'd have to ask the campaign about the process they're going through," Pence said when asked when he will know for sure. "But I'm confident that he'll make a great decision. I look forward to supporting that decision in every way."
