Former president Paul W. Ferguson has applied for a position at a new university.
He's on the list of applicants for chancellor at University of Arkansas at Little Rock, along with 16 others, according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
The search firm, Greenwood/Asher and Associates, is still in the process of cutting down the applicant list so they can start background checks.
This news comes almost three months after Ferguson was unexpectedly terminated without cause from his position as president of Ball State.
He was mentioned in the Democrat Gazette story as being one of two applicants who were "ousted." The other applicant named was Thomas Elzey, who was fired from South Carolina State University after less than two years at the college.
