Only five in the conference boasted a 4.0 grade point average, four of whom are from Ball State. Sophomore Hannah Cressman (accounting), junior Jessica Extine (nursing), senior Sydney Harris (psychological science) and junior Courtney Mudd (exercise science) received the honors.

Ball State also led all other MAC schools with student athletes on the list with 17.

The requirements to make the list required each swimmer or diver to have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in a minimum of 50 percent of the contests.

Last season, Ball State had 13 names on the list and only had two student-athletes record a 4.0 GPA.
